After entering in his first National event and qualifying respectively, Adam learned that competition only gets better the higher you go in the series. Qualifying 13th out of 24 equally prepared cars meant he would have to fight his way to the front. As the green fell, Adam quickly got into his usually "aggressive but smart mode", passing two of his fellow competitors in the outside of turn 3 hairpin on the opening lap. On the second lap however, he missed a shift and lost those spots and others. Through the next 20+ laps he battled his way back to his original qualifying position, including having a multiple lap battle with Cy Peake. On the last lap two competitors that were ahead of him made contact with eachother and spun out while another competitiors car broke...Adam gained three spots resulting in a top 10 finish at his first national event.
