I started my racing career in Vintage racing(VSCCA) in a 1951 MG-TD in
the mid 80's. Some of the highlites from that series was racing before 30,000 +
spectators at the Pittsburg GranPrix at Shenley Park. I was then randomly
picked for a interview which aired on a local TV station that night!
Also, I have professional photo of me passing a TYPE 130 Bugatti, one of the most famous and succesfull race cars of all time, in the "esses" at Lime Rock Park Vintage Fall Festival.
I then moved on to SCCA Club Racing driving a 1965 "E Production" MGB. In 1994, I was awarded with the "Most Improved Driver" and placed 2nd overall in the NARRC Series Championship.
The most standout moment was a "spin and win" occuring in the Mo-Hud race at Lime Rock Park in 1996. The final, most definative point in my racing career was when I was in the overall lead in the closing laps of the 1998 NARRC Finals at Lime Rock, when a fellow competitor's engine failure and resulting oil slick, caused a "big off" in the downhill, virtually destroying the car.
After a long and successful career, I made a concious decision to "hand down the torch" to my young and eagar children, Adam and Max, and thus TeamFigMented was born.
